HALLE BERRY “90% Sure” She Will Be Back for New X-MEN Film

With all the recent casting news about the original cast coming back to resume their roles in X-Men: Days of Future Past, one name has been omitted from the news.  Halle Berry was the one actor that most thought would be a tough sell to bring back into the fold.  According to IndieWire, that is no longer the case.

While the contracts haven’t been officially signed, the actress said that there is a 90% certainty that she would be back as the “Weather Goddess” Ororo Munroe.

“She did confirm to me that she would be returning in the role. Most likely. Practically 90% sure. And she nodded a lot too.

I can’t say, and neither could she say that it’s definitely a done deal, and that the contracts have all been signed, with all the “i”s dotted and the “t”s crossed.

She told me that are a few details that are still being negotiated which she couldn’t get into. But since she did tell me that the film starts shooting in April, it’s highly unlikely that talks are going to suddenly and horribly fall apart at this point.”

So the question is, “Do you know what happens to a toad when it gets struck by lightning?  The same thing that happens to everything else!”

X-Men: Days of Future Past stars Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Holt, Ellen Page, Hugh Jackman, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Anna Paquin, Peter Dinklage, Shawn Ashmore, Ian McKellan, and Patrick Stewart.  The film hits theaters July 18, 2014.
